Movie Premiere: 6 hours to Christmas

So here are some pictures I took from Shirley Frimpong-Manso's 6 hours to Christmas. I am recommending you go watch it when it comes out in a cinema near you or buy the DVD. Shirley never disappoints. My favourite of her movies till date is Checkmate.

We had fun at the event and even got to take pictures with lead actors, Chris Attoh and Damilola Adegbite.

The Christmas theme made it even more exciting and they handed out fire crackers and free MTN credit.

Nadia Buari, Naa Ashorkor and other notable personalities, including Shirley herself walked the red carpet and addressed the press. I'll say the event was a total success.

Inset are Nadia's snakeskin platforms. Fab!

Full fringe vs Sleek ponytail

This post would probably be more relevant to my girls with long shaped faces. What style suits you best? While some people would rather pull their hair back in a ponytail or bun because it’s comfortable, a full fringe is more flattering because it balances out your face.

You really don’t need to go way out of your comfort zone. You can still hold your hair back in a ponytail but this gives a different and more appealing style. Give it a try.

Go nude this season

Somehow pale pink and other neutral colours like taupe and beige have been embraced by fashion lovers everywhere. I love this colour because it’s warm and chic and goes well with basically all skin colours. It also suits all ages because it’s mild and feminine. My favourite item to come in these colours are shoes. I saw lovely suede peep toes by Zara in this mushroom colour about two weeks ago but it just didn’t fit. Peeptoes are not big right now so it’s not too painful. Pumps are in demand right now and that’s good news because they always come in handy. You can pair them with jeans or a formal dress so it’s really a wardrobe essential.

The coveted red-soled shoes come in this colour

Another popular option right now are platforms, especially those with straps. There is a wide variety of these fabulous shoes to suit different personal styles (and pockets), so consider this when next you go shopping.

Keri Hilson: Total Hair Scare

This month Ms Keri-baby attended the BET Hip Hop awards in this get up.

Looks like the feathered hippie earring is a hot trend among celebs this season with others including Miley Cyrus sporting it. Keri's leather tights are very edgy too, I would totally wear that. I'm not so sure about that printed yellow tunic though, I feel she should have toned down on everything else for wearing it. Starting from that hair!

Blonde suits her skin no doubt but with that hairstyle she looks way older than she really is. Am I the only one that feels this way?

Yvonne Nelson steps up with a new look!

I think Yvonne Nelson is finally embracing the look of a star. She showed up at the premiere of her movie, 'The Game' which took place recently in Accra in this LBD.

I think the dress says 'safe', nothing spectacular but her hair and makeup is all new to me. Her lace weave is done really well and her makeup suits the occasion. Love the eyes.

Yvonne is a really pretty girl but some of her looks have screamed 'NO!' to me in the past. This maroon 'dress' and cropped 'do is one of the many looks that make up her style. Not very star-like. Let's hope she's dropping that for good. Red carpet or Street, image definitely counts.

Party perfect makeup

What's the best way to have your makeup done for a night out dancing?

The eyes should get all the attention! Go for dramatic eyes with a defining khol liner. This is the time to use all those colours you wouldn't dare step out with in the day. If you are an energetic dancer I advise you use waterproof mascara just in case you sweat.

With those eyes, nude lip colour would be best but if you must have a bold red, it's best to leave the eye shadow out. Khol-rimmed eyes would do the trick.

You can go extra glam with glitters or a shimmer bronzer. I've seen people go over the top with this look so the rule applied should be 'less is more'.

Have fun ladies!

Rihanna repents in London

Finally! Rihanna was spotted in London looking quite good. I've hated almost every outfit she's stepped out in ever since she got her flaming red 'do. They just kept going from bad to worse! I was beginning to think my style icon had hired a crack-head as a stylist.

Her crazy red locks were swept up in an elegant style and she got to show off her amazing legs in this floral Stella McCartney skirt with a matching jacket.

My best part of her look is the pale pink lip colour and Christian Louboutin pumps she rocks. She made the best choice with this almost nude colour.

Hope she plans to keep this up. Image definitely counts!
