Star style of the week: Sparkle & Shine

As always, this past week has seen red carpet events from American Music Awards 2011 to My Week with Marilyn UK premiere. The holiday season is all about dazzling lights and socialites and celebrities are not holding back on this dreamy trend. I've seen satin, metallics, embellishments and all that catches the light. No piece is being left out - sparkle and shine with a dress, skirt, shoes or clutch!

Megalyn Echikunwoke on the set of 90210

American model and actress, Megalyn Echikunwoke was spotted on the set of 90210 earlier this week shooting a scene with co-star AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi Clark). She joined the cast in the current season and is guest starring as Holly. She will hopefully be bringing more drama to the show as her character is not in the best of terms with Naomi. In this season also, Brandy Norwood will be on the show as a guest star.

Star style of the Week: Midi dresses

 Victoria was spotted a number of times this week going about her business with baby Harper Seven on her arm. She wears a dress from her collection with black Christian Louboutin pumps. This look precisely gets her on my star style list for the week.

 Zoe Saldana wears a mustard yellow dress paired with a snakeskin envelope clutch all from Michael Kors at the opening party for their new store. I'm loving her mushroom-coloured nails too. Reminds me a whole lot of a dress Uche wore recently.

 Micahel Kors puts yet another star on the list this week. Jennifer Hudson shows off her curves in this snug-fitting feline print dress. Fab!

Kelly Rowland in Versace for H & M

The new Versace for H & M collection hit the shops yesterday so you can imagine the crowd and long queues. Shoppers who tried to avoid the commotion by shopping online must have been so frustrated as the website reportedly crashed. Kelly Rowland must have been anticipating the collection too and has already gotten her hands on a leather jacket from the collection. She was spotted wearing it yesterday as she arrived at Fountain Studios for X Factor rehearsals.



She seems to be quite in love with leather and was spotted earlier in the week in leather, frayed denim shorts and spikes!

Best Dressed: The Best of Nollywood Awards 2011

Uche Jombo looks so good in this cute cropped hairstyle, I hope she has this on more often. She attended The Best of Nollywood Awards on Friday at the Lagoon Restaurant, Victoria Island wearing this orange dress. I'm not sure what award she went home with, but for this look I'm naming her the best dresssed!
