Just as expected, Mr Price has just opened their first store in Nigeria today at IKeja City Mall, Lagos. The South African retail shop is a favourite because it offers trendy clothes for young people at affordable prices. It opened its first stop in West Africa four years back in Ghana at Accra Mall.
The fashion however will rhyme with South African season which is AW right now and not SS

Trend to try: Denim-on-Denim
Roberto Cavalli is often spotted in his signature denim button-down shirt which he almost always clashes with jeans so much that fashion industry players have come to associate him with this style. On his recent trip to Lagos, he once again went denim-on-denim. Recently, a whole lot of celebs have been playing with this trend. Contrasting shades of denim seem to work much better. Funny but a lot of blondes seem to love this trend!

Happy 55th Independence day Ghana!
It's a public holiday because it's Ghana's Independence day. I've had my ups and downs living here but it's truly a great nation and I think they are taking their time and there's still a lot to come for them. Today I decided to do something to support the country. I signed a petition to stop the mining of sand from the beach fronts in Cape Coast.
Elmina, Cape Coast is a tourist spot in Ghana because of it's lovely beach resorts and historical sites like the Elmina Castle which used to be a slave fort. You can sign the same petition here
"Where you could walk down a gentle slope to the beach, in places you now have to jump down a 2 metre cliff. The coastline between Brenu and Elmina was one of the most beautiful in Ghana, with miles of wide sandy beaches. As over 1500 cubic metres of sand was being removed every day, the land has eroded, and the beach is almost non-existent. Hotel resorts which provide valuable employment to local people and help to build the tourism trade, benefiting Ghana, the pathways used by local people from villages like Ankwanda to walk with their market produce to Elmina, all are in serious jeopardy."

Guess who?
I found this sketch of a Ghanian model (can't remember who did it now). Can you guess who it is? Hint: She won Face of Africa in 2008
