Lady Gaga to make film debut

Did you see this coming? Lady Gaga has just wrapped her first major film, where she plays a femme fatale. The film, Machete Kills is a sequel and stars other Hollywood actors including Jessica Alba, Amber Heard, Mel Gibson, Alexa Vega, Sofia Vergara and Charlie Sheen. There was a fair display of violence and nudity in the first film which will surely continue in this one. Will Gaga go nude? We may not get to find out until 2013 when it is scheduled to release, either ways, there will be no surprise as Gaga has shown she is comfortable in the nude in the past. Not only that, she publicly called on Disney to make an animated film about her, having being inspired by the fan art below.

Last Flight to Abuja coming soon

Obi Emelonye

After recording an impressive clean out at major awards; Zulu African Film Academy Awards (ZAFFA) and African Film Academy Awards last year with his film, Mirror Boy, Obi Emelonye is back this year with another blockbuster hit, Last Flight to Abuja.

Obi Emelonye who won the Creative Person of the Year Award by The Sun Newspaper, set out on the Last Flight to Abuja project, a movie which focused on the ills in our Aviation industry and the unforgivable human errors that often occur in that sphere.

Fans’ favourite, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, the very firm, Jim Iyke, Hollywood and Nigerian actor, Hakeem Kae Kazeem, Jide Kosoko, Ali Nuhu, Celine Loader and a host of others took part in the movie that is already getting the people of London talking.

The movie recently premiered at the Troxy Cinema in East London, with star actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Jim Iyke and others in attendance; the London premiere was dedicated to the loving memory of over 150 passengers of the ill-fated Dana air crash with their names replacing the end credit of the movie.

Last Flight to Abuja reveals extensively, the daring mid-air difficulties that stares most Nigerian commercial planes in the face and how they are forced to make emergency landing which sometimes leads to very devastating consequences.

The movie will premiere on Friday 3^rd, August in Lagos and will be in cinemas from Saturday, 4^th August, 2012.
