Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is now verified on Twitter!

Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has joined the league of Nigerian celebrities who have verified Twitter accounts. This just simply means that the social networking platform has recognised her personality and directs the public to treat her account as official and authentic. Although other Nigerian public figures such as musicians, athletes and models have been verified already, Omotola will be the second actor after Genevieve Nnaji to get this recognition. These A-list screen divas don't seem like they would be fading anytime soon. They are rather reaching new heights.

Uti Nwachukwu celebrates 30th birthday with 67 widows

For former Big Brother Africa winner, Uti Nwachukwu, turning 30 is not just about over-the-top partying with friends, family and sometimes 'enemies', but a time to reflect on life and how difficult life is for others, this he proved when he hosted 67 widows at the Calabar Hall at Surulere, Lagos recently.

The star has arguably had a very good run of fame and fortune these past few years especially after winning the very popular reality show, Big Brother Africa, a continental platform that brings some of the continent's finest together under one roof for a period of 90 days with mouth-watering prize money to go with it.
The celebrant showed up in no time to a resounding applause, straightaway, he greeted his guests who were the widows and headed for the red carpet where the picture splash took place. He was also accompanied by his Sister Onah, close friend, Alex Ekubo, actress Meg Otanwa and singer Keffe, MC Ice Water, Michael Nwachukwu, Aneke twins and others as they posed with the celebrant on the red carpet. The event started right on time and had in attendance, the 67 widows all dressed in branded polo shirts designed charitably by THOTS ON TEES all bearing the name and picture of the celebrant.

Coincidentally, the celebrant hosted 67 widows because his lovely mother happens to be 67 years old. He later cut his birthday cake with the widows and lots of gift items were presented to them at the end of the event which included cookers, cartons of noodles, Ankara fabrics, bags of rice and bottles of oil (donated by star actress, Tonto Dikeh) amongst other valuable items.

''There is need to recognise widows like these and give them all the support they need at all times. This is why I have allowed the press in, not just to announce it, but so that people who are bigger, richer and more influential than me will hopefully emulate this on a much bigger scale because some people have things to give but don't know how to. I wish to thank Martini, Ify Okeke, Joy Sillo, president of his fan club (UFC) Oby Emeka, Pat Awele and Tonto Dikeh''.
