In the clip you are about to watch, you will find Ghanaian TV personality, Deborah Vanessa telling CNN via Skype that her suggestive song and video has nothing to do with President Obama of the US. She was contacted by CNN as the video went viral, to comment on the lyrics. She stated that the Obama in her song was based on a popular trader in the market in Ghana and that since Obama won the elections, the name has commonly been used for people and other things. She however apologised to the American president if by any chance he found it offensive.

Talented Nollywood star, Bimbo Akintola will step into the limelight once more as her latest movie Hoodrush premieres. The Flipsyde studios production brings film lovers a musical thriller directed by Dimeji Ajibola. It's an unusual genre in Nollywood which makes it all the more exciting. Bimbo Akintola reveals that viewers will be pleasantly surprised with the role she plays in this flick. She said, ‘’For those of you who haven’t heard me sing before, you will see a bit of that in Hoodrush. Also, I think O.C Ukeje is such a brilliant actor, I think he is going places so people should watch out for him and my ‘’fake’’daughter, Chelsea Eze , she is such a talented actress too, my role in Hoodrush is certainly different from the other flicks I have done .’’
Although admitting that the making of Hoodrush was complicated and therefore a challenging project, the director commented that "...Bimbo did very well on the set of Hoodrush, she is one of the best actresses in Nollywood in terms of the quality of her delivery in roles, she showed a lot of class, she connected well with others, that’s what you get when you bring on board a talented actress, talented hands make your job as a director easier’’.
Hoodrush tells a story of two brothers closely bonded by their love for music; but deeply separated by their means for success. Shez and Tavier are two of a kind pursuing a Herculean dream of becoming music stars. But all they have is their amazing vocal talents, good looks, a crib in the ghetto and a menial job that could hardly pay for their clothing and feeding expenses. They soon realize they need more to achieve their dreams, and participating and hoping to win a credible talent hunt show comes as their only natural option. Being at the bottom of the societal grid, ghetto life’s ugly fabric begins to wear on them and their eventual vulnerability puts them at the mercy of the high and mighty.
The movie premieres is this evening (October 12) at Silverbird Galleria, VI in Lagos.

Ghanaian beauty queen and TV personality, Deborah Vanessa may be known for her great style but she recently announced the release of a single Uncle Obama featuring FOKN boys. It's no wonder really that she would experiment with music as one half of the music duo is her own brother, Wanlov the Kubolor! The suggestive song also features her pet monkey Kiko as seen in the official music video which was released at a party on Saturday 22nd September at Silver Lounge inside Accra Mall.
Debbie looked cute and playful with her hair in a top knot wearing a banana yellow baby doll dress. I love how flouncy it is and her petite frame makes it look just right.
